The Orange County Register reported that even the non-partisan independent Congressional Budget Office has now made the diagnosis that one prescription to cure the country’s ailing health care crisis is legal reform. Yet sadly, President Obama and the Democrats who control Congress continuously fail to take the medicine. Trial attorneys and their major campaign dollars have tight control over the democratic congressional delegation. Too bad the trial bar wants to ignore the test results. Elected officials should jump at saving taxpayers more than $41 billion over 10 years and using it to help solve the nation’s health care crisis for those who lack health insurance.
