California’s Business Climate Drives Jobs Out of State PDF Print E-mail

The Orange County Register’s blog, "Jan Norman on Small Business" reports on 100 companies that have left California or expanded anywhere else but California because of factors such as high taxes, undue regulations, workers comp costs and a legal environment stacked against businesses.

It is interesting to note that no state agency keeps track of businesses that move out of California or expand elsewhere, making it difficult to track actual job loss due to California's business environment. This suggests that this list is only partial, and a full list would actually be much longer.
