A significant and consistent cost driver for Americans is our bloated civil justice system that is rampant with abuse. From consumer goods to healthcare to the insurance policies families are required to purchase, excessive litigation has pushed costs onto consumers. However, those costs are rarely noticed because they are folded into prices, premiums and wages rather than appearing as a line item on a bill.
